Watch out for the ghastly Miss Seethe; She is ALWAYS furious – and she’s on a detention rampage. And as for Mr Phobe, he’s a teacher with a real difference. He is bone-shakingly terrified of children!
Lots of children have thoroughly enjoyed reading the worlds worst children now they get to read the worlds worst teachers by none other than bestselling author himself…. David Walliams! with every story gloriously painted with colour by the ever so talented Tony Ross! this book is fictional of course but imagine if one of these teachers taught at your school for a day; you’d be seeing your current teachers as a blessing!
The World’s Worst teachers by David Waliams is an amazingly hilarious book! I couldn’t stop laughing once i read the tale of very teacher , especially the parts where the children had had enough and decided to come up with an equally horrific solution.
A perfectly complimenting book to the Worlds Worst Children series. Tony Ross has done a simply brilliant job of illustrating the gruesome bunch and the expressions of the teachers and children when disaster does strike!
Perfectly summing up the difficulties we have at some point faced in school such as strict and angry teachers or restrictions on the simplest things ( in this case balls)! A perfect marvel. All the teachers have different personality traits and so do the children; each one worst from the lat. This absurd list could go on and on!
A few of the teachers include :
- Miss Seethe’s detention rampage- hear the story of a teacher who is permanently annoyed. Miss Seethe was never not furious. She had a very good reason for this and for one it wasn’t the children’s fault…
- Miss Conceit, the human work of art- Miss Conceit thought of herself as a human work of art. She taught art at a school that was the definition of ordinary: Humdrum High. The school was colourless. Every room bland, except one room. The art room!
- Mrs Splats hall of horrors- ” Evil” is a strong word, but it is not as strong enough to describe Mrs Splatt. She was a dinner lady who ruled with an iron fist. Literally. She had only one hand and the other one was made of – metal. Legend has it that she’d struck her hand in a tray of her own gravy to retrieve a spoon, and the gravy was so toxic her hand had melted away!
I cannot spoil the story for you but this book was terrific fun to read with even funnier made up words and descriptions! this book is great for 9 to 20 year olds, anybody would end up laughing at these stories. fully of excitement and comedy these books are for primary, secondary and especially tweens!
